We are looking for an experienced Head of Electronics to lead the development of complex electronic systems that enable reliable, high-performance space applications. This role is critical in defining the company’s electronic architecture, overseeing hardware and embedded system design, and driving innovation across projects. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strategic vision and leadership capabilities, ensuring that our electronics meet stringent performance, quality, and safety standards.

As Head of Electronics Engineering, you will:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers specializing in hardware, embedded systems, and RF. Promote skill development and continuous learning
  • Oversee electronic engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Act as a key point of contact for electronics engineering across departments, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and supporting interdepartmental goals
  • Participate in employee hiring process, be responsible for onboarding, goal/KPI setting and tracking, resource allocation, work planning
  • Develop and implement the electronics engineering strategy that aligns with company goals, driving innovation and efficiency in line with long-term vision
  • Oversee budgeting for the electronics engineering department, including resource allocation, cost management, and ensuring efficient use of resources to meet both R&D and production goals
  • Lead initiatives to refine engineering processes, implementing best practices, standardization, and quality control measures to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide regular updates and technical insights to the executive team, including project progress, budget forecasts, and any challenges encountered
  • Proactively identify technical, project, and resource risks. Develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies to ensure project continuity and reliability

We expect you to have:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Very good knowledge of electronic product lifecycle and possible trade-offs.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuit design, embedded systems, power management, and RF communications for extreme environments
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation in a high-stakes environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the space industry or with spacecraft platforms
  • Familiarity with simulation tools for electronics is a plus
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Skilled in EDA tools (e.g., Altium, HFSS)

SALARY:

  • Starting from 4300 to 5900 euros gross/ a month
  • The final offer will depend on the level of competencies and experience
