Our Systems engineering team is looking for a Junior System Engineer who will contribute to the production of various nanosats and its subsystems. As a part of this team you will design, develop, and manage customer projects according to customer technical requirements.   

You will work together with other system engineers, and provide your personal contribution to the technical development on several projects, managing customers, partners and subcontractors, defining priorities in delivering the technical solution. You will also interface with the procurement team for scouting of new technologies, with the Project Management team for periodic reporting, planning and management, with the manufacturing team and the AIV team for the definition of the test plan, procedure, and setup. This is a perfect role to build your System Engineering experience, as the candidate will have a perfect chance to work on multiple satellite missions from the project start to the launch of the satellite. 

As Junior SE  your main tasks and responsibilities shall include:

  • Understand and interpret customer requirements 
  • Assist in the design processes for satellite missions 
  • Support the development and design of sub-system specifications 
  • Analysis of satellite system architecture and mission analysis 
  • Take part in the preparation of analysis data with relevant analysis tools 
  • Compile written reports and analysis documentation 
  • Support the engineering team in presentation of analysis data to the customer (in the context of customers’ gate reviews: PDR; BDR; CDR; etc.) 
  • Provide support to other engineering departments, such us Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, and other

We expect you to:

  • Basic knowledge in systems engineering in the space industry
  • Familiarity with space operations and processes
  • Knowledge of the space missions lifecycle
  • System-level knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Nice to have: 

  • Knowledge of Mission analysis software (STK, GMAT or similar) 
  • Experience in the use of Matlab and Python 
  • Experience working on satellite projects (such as University programs)
