Simulations team is looking for a curious and motivated Structural Analysis Engineer who will be contributing to the design and development of nano and micro satellites by performing structural calculations and analyses.

As Structural Analysis Engineer you will: 

  • Be ultimately responsible for proving the structural integrity of our satellite projects
  • Use industry-leading simulation software applications and programs
  • Develop Finite Element Models to investigate satellite behaviour in a variety of mechanical environments
  • Support business development department with feasibility checks, trade-off studies at pre-contract stage
  • Engage with a multitude of engineering disciplines to conduct perfomance and trade-off studies
  • Suggest reliable structural solutions to ensure a structurall optimal design
  • Build equipment-level and system-level models
  • Prepare model validation plans, support with physical testing and subsequently correlate models with real-world data
  • Work with launch authorities and platform integrators
  • Prepare technical documentation and present the to colleagues and customers
  • Engage in continuous improvement through development of standards and best practices

 We expect you to:  

  • Have a thorough understanding of structural mechanics, particularly in dynamics and vibration theory
  • Have a degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or equivalent
  • Be a proficient user of at least one CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent)
  • Have experience with FEA software (Simcenter 3D, NASTRAN or equivalent)
  • Have good English language skills (at least B1)
  • Engage with the team and department but also be comfortable working independently
  • Be technologically literate (VPNs, remote desktops, MS Office, Sharepoint, Jira)
  • Be prepared for business travel from time to time to support business needs

Nice to have: 

  • Work/internship experience in space industry
  • Familiarity with ECSS and NASA standards/handbooks
  • Experience with vibration testing
  • Programming skills (Java, Python)

SALARY:

  • Starting from 2100 – 2800 eur gross/month
  • The final offer will depend based on the level of competencies and experience
