We are looking for a Team Manager to lead a team of thermal simulations engineers within the department of mechanical engineering. The purpose of the thermal simulations team is to define, simulate and test the thermal management systems of satellites and satellite subsystems. 

 As a Team Manager you will: 

  • Lead a team of thermal simulations engineers with the aim of successfully integrating thermal management systems for satellites and satellite subsystems 
  • Collaborate with other Team Managers and Technical Leads on key decisions related to various projects and team’s workflow 
  • Develop and implement team’s strategy while aligning with company goals 
  • Contribute to the potential satellite project proposal work package definition and feasibility studies 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members in the topic of thermal engineering with the emphasis on simulations and testing 
  • Ensure that team members prepare the deliverables for project milestone reviews in quality and on time 
  • Contribute to continuous development and implementation of best practices and processes 
  • Be responsible for hiring, onboardings, monitoring team member productivity, motivation, and goals 
  • Liaise with international suppliers and customers 

 We expect you to: 

  • Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.) 
  • Have a good understanding of heat transfer and thermodynamics 
  • Demonstrate a high-level understanding of thermal simulations and testing workflow and how it integrates into entire engineering process 
  • Have a current or previous experience with thermal simulations software (e.g. Thermica, ESATAN, Thermal Desktop) 
  • Have some leadership experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate 
  • Have an advanced knowledge of MS Office 
  • Have a good English language skills (at least C1)

Nice to have: 

  • Experience in space industry 
  • Understanding of orbital mechanics 
  • Familiarity with ECSS and NASA standards/handbooks 
  • Programming skills (e.g. Python) 
  • Experience with thermal testing 
  • Experience with management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) 

SALARY

  • Salary starts from 3300 eur/month gross;
  • The final offer will depend based on the level of competencies and experience.
