Vibration Test Engineer

Quality Assurance Department is looking for a Vibration Test Engineer to take ownership of all satellite and subsystem vibration testing aspects from initial planning to generating test result reports. 

As Vibration Test Engineer you will: 

  • Design test jigs with SolidWorks 
  • Perform modal analysis on assemblies to be tested with SolidWorks Simulation 
  • Prepare 2D drawings, arrange manufacturing and assembly of test jig components 
  • Define vibration levels according to the mission needs 
  • Liaise with international vibration test facilities 
  • Perform vibration testing on nano/micro satellites as well as their subsystems 
  • Operate electrodynamic shaker, data logging equipment and other instrumentation 
  • Process raw data, analyze results, write test reports and manage test related documentation  
  • Ensure vibration testing is performed according to ECSS and NASA standards / handbooks 
  • Be point of contact regarding vibration testing for colleagues and customers 
  • Be involved in vibration testing facility development 

We expect you to: 

  • Have a degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or equivalent 
  • Be a proficient user of at least one CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) 
  • Have experience in 2D engineering drawings and good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) 
  • Have an advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Have good English language skills (at least B1) 
  • Enjoy working in a team and independently 
  • Excellent time and workload management skills 

Nice to have: 

  • Work/internship experience in space industry 
  • Experience in operating electrodynamic shaker, using data logging equipment and other instrumentation 
  • Have some experience with structural analysis (SolidWorks Simulation or equivalent) 
  • Familiarity with ECSS and NASA standards/handbooks 
  • Hobby/personal technical project experience
