We are looking for an Intern in the Mechanical Design Engineering team who will contribute to the designing and developing satellites and their subsystems. As a part of this team, you will learn from senior colleagues, who will share their knowledge and experience with you.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern, you will:

  • Design equipment such as assembly jigs to improve the assembly process of satellite subsystems
  • Refine and update the design of satellite subsystems and ground support equipment
  • Prepare and update technical documentation of satellite subsystems and ground support equipment
  • Prepare manufacturing drawings for parts and coordinate their production
  • Support Mechanical Design Engineers in engineering satellites and their subsystems

 

We expect you to have:

  • Passion for space engineering and a desire to learn fast
  • A technical background in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • General understanding of machine elements, materials engineering, manufacturing technologies, mechanics of materials
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English

Nice to have:

  • A showcase project of your own engineering work
  • Experience with 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks or equivalent
  • Experience with 2D engineering drawings and good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Hands-on skills with measurement, inspection, assembly and other tools

Important for you to know: 

  • Minimum internship duration: 3 months  

Salary:

  • The salary for this internship is 1160 per month at full-time, or a proportional equivalent based on working time
