Our latest missions
Driving key small satellite developments for over 10 years
2024
Launched more nanosatellites in the last 5 years than any other external manufacturer and introduced 21 standard satellite bus configurations, making space even more accessible.
2023
Onboarded 200 new employees in 18 months and joined the KONGSBERG group to strengthen and broaden our offering to the space market.
2022
Became the first nanosatellite manufacturer to enter the microsatellite market by launching our selfie-taking MP42 satellite.
2021
Launched our first satellite built for the world's first 5G IoT constellation and expanded to three new offices across the EU and US.
2020
Saw increasing demand for our larger nanosatellite platforms and systems from big industry primes such as NASA, ESA, Thales Alenia, and multiple defence customers.
2019
A 6U nanosatellite built for our commercial customer demonstrated direct-to-cellphone connectivity from space.
2018
Introduced our M6P and became the first provider to offer end-to-end nanosatellite mission services and bigger - 6U, 12U, and 16U platforms.
2017
First platform sold and shipped to Sydney University. Also, launch of LituanicaSAT-2, likely the first CubeSat to use chemical propulsion, all developed in-house.
2014
NanoAvionics was officially born after the success of the LituanicaSAT-1 mission.

Industry-leading Reliability

All our subsystems are flight-proven, immune to destructive Single Event Effects, and tested against TID, and high energy protons, with critical components tested against heavy ions. We use a space-customized FIDES framework to calculate spacecraft-level reliability for each mission based on profile, architecture, redundancy, and operational concept. NA Quality Policy

Leveraging KONGSBERG’s Global Expertise

NanoAvionics leverages the KONGSBERG group’s 200 years of industrial expertise and ISO 27000-certified Cosmos facilities in Norway to offer national security customers the highest security standards for classified payload integration and spacecraft testing.

Vertical Integration

Up to 80% of our standard buses are vertically integrated, providing us with tight control of our supply chain, costs, and schedule certainty. We source the remaining subsystems from our European and US partners that meet our stringent quality and reliability standards.

Strong Technological Cluster

Over the past decade, NanoAvionics has established a technological cluster for building and testing satellites at scale using the latest manufacturing and quality assurance techniques. We constantly expand our in-house testing infrastructure to reduce mission costs and streamline satellite qualification.
