At Kongsberg NanoAvionics, we design, build, and operate small satellite missions for customers across the globe. As we expand our commercial activities, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth within our Products & Services portfolio and strengthen our presence in the global space market.

In this role, you’ll take full ownership of the customer journey — identifying opportunities, leading negotiations, and driving sales for our satellite subsystems and mission operations services. You’ll alongside the marketing team as well as business development managers focused on mission/platform solutions and will work closely with engineers, product managers and executives to deliver tailored space solutions that meet the needs of both emerging and established players in the space industry.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development & Marketing, this role offers a high degree of ownership and visibility, with a chance to shape NanoAvionics’ commercial success in the rapidly evolving global space market.

As Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities across NanoAvionics’ product and service portfolio — including satellite platforms, subsystems, and mission services
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders across the global space ecosystem
  • Represent NanoAvionics at international industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to shape competitive offerings and market positioning
  • Contribute to strategic planning, pipeline forecasting, and go-to-market initiatives
  • Ensure smooth coordination between business development, engineering, and project management teams
  • Support customers during early project phases and ensure clear communication between technical and commercial teams
  • Track market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to guide product and service development

We expect you to have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management — preferably with technically complex or engineering-driven products
  • Understanding of space industry solutions, such as small satellites, mission operations, or payload integration (or strong interest to learn)
  • Proven ability to manage proposals, negotiations, and customer relationships independently
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills
  • A proactive, organized, and goal-oriented approach — with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Nice to have: 

  • Previous experience in the space sector
  • Technical background in engineering, physics, or related fields
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM and pipeline management
  • Fluency in additional foreign languages

Salary

  • Salary starts from 3000 to 4300 gross/per month
  • The final offer will depend on the level of competencies and experience
