  • Perform orbital and mission analysis and develop key technical budgets, including power, data, mass, link, delta-V, and energy, to assess mission feasibility and performance
  • Define system architecture, subsystem allocations, work packages, and technical inputs to solution costing, including non-recurring engineering estimates
  • Lead technical trade studies to support design, proposal, and solution decisions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured way of working Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to different audiences
  • Able to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively in a small, fast-moving, multidisciplinary, and international team
  • US Citizen; NanoAvionics will not provide sponsorship
  • Located in the Eastern US time zone
  • Willingness to travel as needed (<20%)

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting bids, proposals, or customer-facing technical activities for commercial, civil, or defense space customers
  • Experience in multiple engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, RF, control systems, or data systems
  • Experience with requirements management tools and systems engineering processes
  • Experience with spacecraft AIT, launch campaigns, or early mission operations
  • Familiarity with work package definition, services estimation, or non-recurring engineering scoping
  • Located in the DC / Northern Virginia metro area

SALARY:

  • Expected Salary Range: $105,000-$135,000 per year
  • The final offer will depend on the level of competencies and experience
